What luck to be an apple!

To be an "Arnold"-apple is exciting and eventful. I live to see so much while I grow and while I’m harvested and during all the other procedures that finally bring me to "my" consumer. I have no problem to be eaten at the end, because I see it rather as my mission than as my fate. It’s important to me to look good, taste fabulous and also to contribute to your power and vitality.

Then I rejoice!

What humans dream of…

It sounds strange but winter is a great time for apples. While it is cold and frosty outside I enjoy the latest technology in a huge warehouse. I have heard even humans dream of this technology: it makes me stay lush, fresh and even younger for so much longer. Apples like me are stocked in a so-called "controlled atmosphere", which slows down the metabolism. We virtually drowse for some time, just like some animals hibernate. When it’s finally my turn to be sold I am absolutely lush and fresh – just what an "Arnold" is supposed to be.

Hi there! You seem stressed.
So, you rush around to get the last presents, a tree and sweets?
Well, believe it or not, I’m the solution to all your problems!

Buy me!
I’m much healthier and much more chic than sweets and you don’t even have to wrap me up as I’m already in a very elegant box.
You can also use me as a present tag and write the name of the receiver in wonderful silver letters on my box.
But if you don’t know what to get for your loved ones in the first place, hide a voucher or money right beside me in my box. You’ll be delighted to see their surprised and overjoyed faces.

And if you still need a tree you have many options:

• If you are able to get a fir tree do so and hang me and my colleagues on the tree.
• If the tree is rather tedious, because it’s the last there was. Hang me and the others on the tree and form a circle with our boxes under the tree. This makes even the weakest tree look stylish.
• If there is no possibility to get a fir, apple or any other kind of tree, just get loads of Arnold’s and build a pyramid. A golden star on top and voila, there is your Christmas tree!

And don’t forget to eat an "Arnold" immediately. It gives you the energy and the vitamins you need right now.

A single star

Being an apple has changed a lot for me. My farmer not just picks me like all the other apples from his orchard. He knows that big, red and juicy ones like me are suited for being an "Arnold". This brings him more money, more motivation to improve and proceed his work and the participation in the "Arnold" partnership of farmers in the soft hills of eastern Styria.

When I leave my farmer’s orchard and his grange, nearly all conditions change. I’m no more to be transported in a crowded packing case, where I share space with thousands of other apples. My place is no more that of an anonymous fruit in the supermarket’s fruit rack, where consumers often suffer from lack of digest.

I’m now an "Arnold" with my own point of sale, packed in my fancy black box. Of course I enjoy my new function as single star in the world of fruits and delight.

Arnold’s Winter Wonderland

What a surprise to see all the fruit orchards of my farmer being covered in snow! It’s an early winter in the apple region of Styria, which is one of the most outstanding fruit growing areas in Europe.

In this part of Styria the climate is absolutely perfect for splendid apples like me. Not only is the weather perfect in the time of bloom and ripeness, a cold winter is important for the trees to regain their strengths as well. And strength they need to produce first-class Arnolds!

Thanksgiving - November 2007

Oh Thanksgiving is great! Turkey, Pumpkin Pie, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potatoes and loads of cranberry sauce.

But it is also a time to give thanks.

• I thank for tasting so deliciously.
• I thank for my home, a wonderful black box with a cozy napkin.
• I thank God I can help apples around the world to be values as what they really are.
• I thank God for my good looks.
• I thank for the wonderful places I’m sold at.
• I thank God for showing me my mission. I’m allowed to be cool and stylish and to help people eat a healthy product in public, a wonderful alternative to chocolate and burgers.
• I thank Arnold Schwarzenegger for being my godfather.

Hi, I'm Arnold, how are you?

It's an exciting experience for me to do what I'm doing here. I think I'm the first apple in this surprising funtion.

I'm no longer just a strong and delightful apple, my farmer told me. It's his orchard where I grew and ripened to be as large and flawless as I am. Since he and this group of farmers from Styria, in Austria, launched the "Arnold" project everything changed for me.

Now I'm the ambassador not just of apples from Styria, the country where Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger was born. My new role is to convey all the messages linked with "Arnold".

Apples like me are created to be enjoyed immediately. Why waiting, why bringing me home in a flabby bag? Enjoy me in a moment, do it in public! Get the experience to have an apple as a strong and healthy alternative to refreshments like burger or chocolate bars!
